Xbox: predicted biggest seller this holiday season

As Christmas rounds the corner, the question that is often asked is, “What will be the big seller of this year?”

Well, this year a prediction that is being made by many is the newest addition to the gaming consoles, Xbox.

This new console sports a speedy 733 MHz Intel Pentium III processor and the capability of saving progress with its internal eight gigabyte hard drive.

This enables you to store your games without a memory card and allows the creation of your own custom game soundtracks.

The Xbox has many advantages over the current opposition mainly due to its accelerated graphics engine which enables more megapixels per second than any other dedicated server currently boasts.

With 64 audio channels, 256 stereo voices and the ability to encode Dolby Digital 5.1 audio in real-time, Microsoft has created a well-rounded console that out numbers the competition in almost all aspects of its performance.

The drawback to Xbox is the cost and that drawback is not for the consumer, but for Microsoft.

The current production cost for Microsoft per machine is $350. Microsoft merely hopes to make its money back on the cost of the games and the up-and-coming feature, Xbox live, to be launched on November 16.

This feature is the “icing on the cake,” for Xbox. This developing feature will allow gamers across the world to play each other in a variety of games and in many different styles of play.

For many, the greatest thing about Xbox live is the headset and the microphone that allows you to speak with your teammates and opponents.

You can “bet your bottom dollar” that the Xbox will be on the top sellers list this Christmas along with the Xbox live package that is a mere $50, which includes a year’s subscription.

So while making your last minute Christmas gift purchases, don’t underestimate the Xbox game console, made for everyone’s entertainment needs.
