Visitor injured by bull

A campus visitor required medical treatment after being thrown from and trampled by a bull at the Ag Pavilion Saturday morning.

James Bret Embrey, 22, of Iuka, Miss., suffered injuries to his mouth and nose, with lacerations beneath his left eye, but did not lose consciousness. Embrey was taken to Volunteer Community Hospital at 11 a.m., and flown via AirEvac to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville at noon for emergency reconstructive surgery.

Embrey was in town to attend the traveling Sankey Rodeo School, which has come to Martin the week before the annual rodeo for the past three years.
