The Factory is back and ready to rock.

The trio from Savannah, Tenn., composed of lead singer and gutarist Justin Smith, drummer Chris Carothers and bassist Elijah Provencio, are coming back for their second gig at Martin since their inception last year.

The band got started last summer with Justin and Chris just playing music for fun. When they decided they wanted to really rock, the decision to add a third member was reached.

“We met through a mutual friend,” explains Smith. “Chris and I were both sitting around playing music by ourselves. Finally, we decided to call Elijah to join us and formed the band.”

The next step of the process was to come up with a name for the newly-formed trio. The guys kicked around a few ideas before deciding on The Factory.

“We really struggled with it,” says Smith of deciding a name. “But we all liked this one.”

The boys from Savannah, Tenn. have already begun to pave their way to stardom by recording a three-song demo, but their future plans include starting work on a full-length album. Smith labels their music “straight rock and roll with a southern twist” and lists some of their influences as The Strokes, Led Zepplin, The Beatles and Jimi Hendrix.

With a sound remenisecent of the Beatles with a bit of Weezer mixed in, there’s something there to please any rock fan.
