Wednesday night, as millions of viewers across the nation were glued to the television set, Trista ABC’s first bachelorette--chose Ryan as her soulmate.

Her choice came as a shock to most avid-watchers who were certain that Trista had Charlie in mind for her final rose.

Erin McKee, a Pre-Pharmacy major from Clarksville claimed that, “she seemed more compatible with Charlie. It almost appeared that Ryan was a little too romantic for her. But I am glad she chose Ryan.”

Trista ended Charlie’s hopes before he had time to issue forth a ring.

This surprised many viewers because, just minutes before in the show, she had claimed that Charlie had her heart. Later she confided to Ryan, a firefighter from Colorado, that she had been falling in love with him for awhile, but had to keep the secret to herself.

“I had been pulling for Ryan the whole time,” noted Kimberly Osborn, a History Secondary Education major from Jackson. “He was just too wonderful for Trista to pass up. I am so excited for her.”

ABC created a hit with this season’s The Bachelorette. The show kept everyone in suspense and, because of the final twist, left most Ryan-fans with smiles, especially after he proposed on bended-knee.

It was a fairy-tale come true for Trista and most of the viewers.
