The University of Tennessee at Martin Skyhawk rifle team finished third in the Ohio Vallley Conference Championship air rifle competition held this past week in the Skyhawk Rifle Range at Martin.

Tennessee Tech won both the smallbore and air rifle team competitions, while Murray State finished second in both competitions. Morehead State was third in the smallbore, while Tennessee Martin was fourth.

Murray State’s Morgan Hicks was named the smallbore MVP and the air rifle MVP. The smallbore all-conference team included Tennessee Tech’s Daniel Crews, Chris Dautel and Misty Chanek and Murray State’s Robert Purdy.

The all-conference air rifle team included Tennessee Tech’s Billy Grant and Annie Goodman; Tennessee-Martin’s Jessie Wilson; and Murray State’s Robert Purdy.
