Sweet November a truly sweet movie

*** 1/2 of 5

Ever feel like you don’t have fun in life because of everything that you’re involved in or that you’re stuck in the same routine everyday?

The movie Sweet November, premiered in theaters in 2001, turns the life of a workaholic advertising executive, Nelson Moss (Keanu Reeves) into a personal project by Sara Deever (Charlize Theron).

The odd couple meets at the DMV while taking a test to renew their licenses. Trying to cheat on the test, Moss gets Deever kicked out of the test.

Because he caused Sarah to lose her license, she “stalks” Nelson and makes a proposition with him.

She notices that he isn’t having any fun and promises him that she can turn his life around if he stays with her at her apartment for just one month.

The movie goes on to describe that month and how Nelson does change and how his attitude about life changes.

The two fall in love, but because of reasons that I won’t disclose (it would ruin the movie for everyone), the climax occurs.

The movie is a romantic, so it does deal with all the gushy stuff. The plot is somewhat predictable, but overall it was a good movie.

Check it out on video today to see what happens. Maybe your life does relate somewhat to Nelson’s. The message in the movie is true to life.
