With the music blaring, UTM students turned out Tuesday night to see Papa Sol at the SAC Street Dance on Hannings Lane.
The day was a busy one on campus as voting for Homecoming Queen ended Tuesday afternoon with the court to be announced Friday at the Pyramid competition.
Fraternities and sororities continue to work on floats for the Homecoming Parade, which is scheduled for Saturday at 10 a.m., in the Ned McWherter Agriculture Complex. The UTM Office of Housing is also in the complex working on its float.
The 2002 Rope Pull competitions will continue Wednesday afternoon by Pacer Pond.
The teams are down to four in both the men’s and women’s sides of the competition. Alpha Delta Pi and Chi Omega will begin the pulls for the day at 4:25 p.m.
Zeta Tau Alpha and Alpha Omicron Pi will follow to complete the sorority division for the day.
Fraternity competition will begin with Pi Kappa Alpha pulling Phi Sigma Kappa around 5:15 p.m. This is the first pull for Phi Sig as it had a bye in the first round. Sigma Phi Epsilon will pull Alpha Gamma Rho to finish off the day.
There will also be a Sidewalk Chalk competition in the Quad Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Students will be able to win Blizzard Bucks in the SAC Blizzard Bucks show in the Watkins Auditorium at 8 p.m. Following the Blizzard Bucks Game will be the SAC Movie at 10 p.m.
