Once again, it is time to register for classes. However, though the semester is coming to an end, that doesn't mean that you can neglect your responsibilities as students at UTM.

All students who plan to return to UTM in the spring should register in ad-vance. Also, any transfer or readmitted student who has received final acceptance for spring semester should register in advance. Course schedules can be picked up from the records office, located in the Administra-tion Builing.

However, before registering, every student must see thier adviser and have the adviser hold removed.

Appointment times are based on the hours the student has earned. However, do not skip classes to register! If you cannot register at your appointed time, you may register any time afterwards. In fact, you can register at any time during the semester's add period. Keep in mind that no student may register before his or her appointment time. Also, delinquent financial obligations will result in the student's registration being halted.

Students may register by telephone or by going through Banner on the UTM website, at www.utm.edu. Students can either register by themselves or have thier adviser register them.

Complete registration instructions for both telephone and Banner registration are printed in the course schedules and at www.utm.edu/registrar/instructions.htm.

After registering, all students must confirm their schedule with the Business Affairs Office to avoid being purged. The first purge date is Jan. 3, 2003, while the second purge date is Jan. 10, 2003. For more information, contact the Business Affairs Office at 587-7810.

Also, as a reminder to all seniors who will be graduating in May 2003, please do not forget to apply for your diploma and register for your major field tests and academic profiling test.

You can apply for your diploma by logging on to Banner. If you fail to do so, you will not graduate.
