Volleyball still ranked # 1, winning streak now at 6

After winning their first three OVC games and defeating the MSU Racers Tuesday night, the Skyhawks were ranked number one for the second in the OVC. The only OVC competitor that is close to UTM is Morehead who is 3-1 in the conference. Their only loss came at the hands of Coach Chris Rushing and the UTM Skyhawks.

Soccer team wins one, ties one on the road

The Skyhawk Soccer Team traveled to the bayou state this past weekend to take on Southeastern Louisiana and Jackson State. The ’hawks whipped the team from Jackson State last Friday 7-1. UTM then battled weather and a tough SELU team in the pouring rain, and pulled away from the contest with a 1-1 tie. The Skyhawks are ranked third in the OVC for the second week in a row.

Pacer Player of the Week

UTM Senior Outside Hitter, Natalie Klevan, of the Skyhawk Volleyball team. Klevan is from Germantown, Tenn.; and is an Exercise Science major. She led the team with 16 kills, a service ace, and 11 digs Tuesday night against Murray State. Klevan finished last season with with 46 service aces, 358 kills,and 358 digs. This puts here in fourth place in the school’s history for career kills (832), fifth in career kills per game (2.76), fifth for career digs (757), and seventh for career service aces (93). She was also on the Dean’s List both semesters last year.

Klevan was a four year starter for Germantown High School.

During her time there, the team won five regular season championships, two district championships, and three regional championships.
