--Two Skyhawks receive weekly OVC Honors UTM softball pitcher Nicole Davis and baseball third baseman Bryant Jones were Co-OVC pitcher and Co-OVC player of the week, respectively.

Davis went 2-1 this past week without allowing an earned run and striking out three. She pitched a complete game, eight-hit shutout against league-leading Eastern Kentucky. Davis also tossed seven innings of shutout ball to get a win over Belmont.

Jones batted .545 (11-for-21) with six runs and six RBI to lead UTM to 3-1 last week, including two OVC wins against Tennessee Tech. Jones had two four-hit outings and stroked three doubles, one triple and a home run among 11 hits as he slugged .905 and recorded 19 total bases without a single strikeout.

--Women's B-ball Reception The University of Tennessee at Martin women's basketball team will be recognized for its success with an awards reception at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, April 29 in the Bob Carroll Football Building's multipurpose room.

This year's reception will include a potluck dinner and a highlight film from this past season.

--UTM Football Alumni Weekend The University of Tennessee at Martin Skyhawks will wrap up spring football practice Saturday (April 24) at noon with the annual Blue and Orange game at Hardy M. Graham Stadium. In addition to the game, fans will also have the chance to participate in this year's three-day UT Martin Football Alumni Weekend.

The three-day event begins with a reception and social at 7 p.m., Thursday, April 22.

The pre-game festivities are set to end with the first alumni flag football game at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 24.

--Rodeo Replay on Ch. 11 The 36th Annual University of Tennessee at Martin Spring College Rodeo will be replayed twice on WLJT, Channel 11, West Tennessee's Public Television Station.

The Ozark Region rodeo will be replayed at 3 p.m., Sunday, April 25 and again at 9 p.m., Saturday, May 15.

If you would like to purchase a video copy of the rodeo they are available for $50 each. A portion of the proceeds will go to the UT Martin Rodeo Booster Club.

--Golf goes to OVC tourney The University of Tennessee at Martin golf team will play in the 2004 Ohio Valley Conference Championship.

The three-day championship event will be held at 8 a.m., April 26-28 at the Paducah Country Club.

The five UTM players that will be competing are Scott Carpenter, Heath Prescott, Reise Kelly, and Trey McNeil and Hunter Prescott.

--Three Skyhawks added to All-OVC team Three members of the UTM women's tennis team earned All-Ohio Valley Conference honors this past weekend at the OVC tournament played in Nashville.

Sari Nortje, from Paarl, South Africa, is a freshman. She played No. 3 singles and No. 2 doubles. She posted an 8-2 OVC record and an overall worksheet of 14-3.

Katarina Domela, from Jawa Barat, Indonesia, also is a freshman. She played No. 4 singles and No. 2 doubles. She sported a 10-0 OVC record and an overall mark of 14-3.

Gayatri Ramesh, from Kerala, India, is a junior. She played No. 5 singles and No. 3 doubles. She was 9-1 in the OVC and 14-4 overall.
