Speaker to share own success story

Sean Clinch Stephenson, leading professional speaker, psychotherapist and author of How YOUth Can Succeed, is scheduled to speak at 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, in Watkins Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.

Stephenson has been interacting with audiences in the college and youth market across the nation for nearly a decade.

Using both humorous and heartfelt stories, Stephenson touches on many college issues including dealing with professors, parents, dating, roommates and friends, studying, getting good grades, living at home, living on a shoestring budget, and managing emotions, time and priorities.

Stephenson was trained in project management and conflict resolution during his extended work for the U.S. House of Representatives on Capital Hill and for the Office of Cabinet Affairs in the White House, as a direct liaison to the president.

Stephenson has proven through his experiences that he knows how to succeed in college. He was elected vice president of Interfraternity Council, senator to Student Government and held many leadership positions within his fraternity. During his four years at college, he managed to squeeze in the time to write and publish his first book, travel the country speaking and intern in Washington, D.C., at the White House and U.S. Capitol.

“Sean’s inspiring story will captivate you and motivate you to accomplish anything,” said April Cheung, Student Activities Council executive chair.
