Sodexho holds open forums for feedback

On Monday Sodexho Alliance, Inc. held a feedback forum for both Faculty and Staff to attend. This comes a week after the company was awarded the contract to continue to serve the campus.

Two representatives from the company, Kiki Dole and Wendi Gretz, headed the forum to promote feedback from those that attended. Sodexho provided general questions such as what they can do to improve the catering, quality of food, advertising of the menu.

Those that attend this Sodexho Alliance, Inc. forum were very impressed with lunch but raised the questions as to why the company cannot provide the same quality food in the cafeteria.

Eating healthy was another concern for those that attended. It seems that the choice selections that are supposedly "healthy" still do not meet the need for those that eat in the Skyhawk Café.

Members of the campus that have diabetes are also concerned that they are not being served with the same equality.

An interesting concern was raised about how the food selections are better than usual when high school students or visitors come on campus.

The fact that members of the campus cannot take out food of the cafeteria during the times of Breakfast and Dinner was raised. The reason that was given as to why this service is not available is due to stealing from students in the past.

Whether you are getting what you paid for was a concern of this group, many there voiced their opinions on the expensive cost of the food and catering with what quality they receive from Sodexho.

So what is next for Sodexho?

There is talk of putting another food cart in the EPS building lobby this would allow faculty, staff and more importantly the students to eat at a convince.

Better selections of food as well could possibly begin to surface at the cafeteria. Whether Sodexho decides to listen to the feedback or not only time will tell.
