UTM will offer a new class this fall in the entrepreneurship program.
The class will cover small and family-owned businesses and will be taught by a UTM faculty member accompanied by recruited assistants, each of whom is a successful entrepreneur from the Martin area.
The idea for the new course was the brainchild of Dr. Michael Boyd, an assistant professor in Management, Marketing and Political Science, and a few of his colleagues, all of whom believe the course is needed by UTM students.
An entrepreneur himself, Boyd said that many other schools offer a similar course and that UTM should keep up. Boyd will be one of the teachers of the new class.
