Slim Shady 'cleaning out closet' in new CD

Two years after releasing his controversial CD, The Marshall Mathers LP, Slim Shady has brought his unique artistic views back into the music scene.

His new CD, The Eminem Show, shows a quite different side to the Eminem that avid listeners are used to.

His first two singles released were Without Me and Cleaning Out My Closet. These songs will most likely turn out to be the most-listened to songs on the CD.

Eminem has the ability to make words rhyme that usually do not, and it is very evident on both of these tracks.

The songs alone are great, but the videos make them even better. Without Me proves to be a fun song where Eminem can introduce his new CD and parade around as different, fun characters on the video.

Cleaning Out My Closet has the same intensity as his hit song, Stan (The Marshall Mathers LP). The song and the video are both sure to be a highlight in many award shows to come.

Eminem shows a bit of a different side in some of his other songs such as Hailie's Song and My Dad's Gone Crazy.

My Dad’s Gone Crazy is a new track which features his daughter, Hailie Jade. Hailie's Song is perhaps a look at the paternal side of this very outspoken, controversial writer.
In the lyrics, it’s easy to see his intentions of what hopefully will be a successful father. As he raps in the song: “People make jokes cuz they don't understand me, they just don't see my real side…But then I see my baby, suddenly I’m not crazy. It all makes sense when I look in her eyes.”

Eminem has been deeply associated, to some people, with hate crimes. By listening to this CD, I have come to the conclusion that Eminem is doing two different things with his music. First, he's saying things that some people think, but don't have the gumtion to say. Secondly, most of his songs are just like a boy's intentions on a playground: Go out, have fun, and stir up a little trouble every now and then.

Eminem has won several Grammy awards for his previous album, and this album is sure to turn out the same honors.
