Skyhawk women sign top local player for next season

The UTM women's basketball team has signed a top local prospect for next season.

Crystal Fuller, a senior at Huntingdon High School, signed a national letter of intent to play basketball for the Skyhawks.

"We are very pleased to have Crystal join our team," said Gary Van Atta, co-head coach at UTM.

Fuller helped lead her team to the final four in the state playoffs last year. She was voted all-district in each of her three years in high school, all-region player as a sophomore, and was all-West Tennessee Player of the Year.

"She is a great addition to an already talented freshmen class," Van Atta said. "She plays hard, is a very versatile player, and an excellent rebounder.

Fuller is averaging 7.5 rebounds, and 16.9 points per game. She has scored over 1,200 points for her career.

"Fuller knows how to score, and will make us much more athletic," Van Atta said.
