Sophomore Megan Mizell has been named “Skyhawk of the Week” for March 22-28.

The righty pitcher from Vienna, Ill. threw a perfect game Saturday afternoon against OVC member Southeastern Mo.

Mizell struck out six of the 21 batters she faced in the game, with four flying out and the rest hitting into ground outs.

Mizell was also 1-3 on the afternoon, with one run and one RBI for the Skyhawks.

Because of her efforts on Saturday afternoon, Mizell was also named the Ohio alley Conference’s Pitcher of the Week.

The 5’10 Skyhawk, who also plays outfield and first base, is the first Skyhawk to pitch a perfect game in four years.
