Cross country runner Derrick Kenwright has been named Skyhawk of the Week for the week of Oct. 26th.

Kenwright, the junior distance runner from Cordova, Tenn., ran the fastest 8,000-meter time in UTM history with 26:47 in the 2004 University of Evansville Invitational.

"Derrick received this distinction the old fashioned way - he earned it," said cross country head coach Gordon Sanders. "His double-day runs, including frequent 10-mile runs are paying off."

The men's team finished eighth at the meet, while the women finished ninth.
