Senior art exhibits are to look at, not to steal

I am a senior art major with an emphasis in graphic design. All art majors at UTM do a senior exhibit their last semester.
My exhibit is up now in the Fine Arts Gallery. It will come down this weekend.
We are lucky as a department to have the opportunity to present our work to our peers.
The reason I am writing this article is to let you know that there is a thief among us.
Some “person” stole the rodeo calendar from my show.
This is the first time a piece of work has been stolen from the gallery. I am sickened that a person would take something so silly. Calendars can be printed from the Internet for free at http://www.printablecalendar.ca.
I would like to address the thief. Why would you do such a ridiculously low-class thing?
If your goal was to acquire a rodeo calendar, the rodeo team would be more than happy to sell you one. If your goal was to acquire a free calendar, as I said before, the Internet is the place to go, not a senior exhibit. Is the date so important that you have to so something so petty?
Perhaps you have a thing for cows and horses. You are an idiot! I hope your mother is proud of you.
I strongly believe in Karma and you will get what you deserve. I now have to ask the rodeo coach for another calendar for my portfolio and while that is not a big deal. The point is, I should not have to.
Stealing is wrong. You would not steal a painting or a sculpture. Why would you steal my calendar? Nowhere in the gallery does it say “please take one.”
I pity you.
As for the other people who read the Pacer, I apologize for venting on such a public platform but things like this should not happen. We should be more intelligent and considerate as a culture than this.
