Safety and Security treats minority events differently

First off, I thought this would be something that would die off with time. I mean, I really thought I wouldn’t have to write about this.
Yet, three semesters have passed and I’ve finally gotten frustrated with the way Safety and Security treats the minority functions on this campus.
I know sometimes we may get a little rowdy at times after parties but, it’s not like we push old women down the stairs and spray paint “Orange Mound” on their backs.
It’s not like we come in drunk, regurgitating in the halls and breaking dorm rules and regulations by bringing alcoholic beverages in the dorm unlike others.
This is not a racial attack towards any other people on this campus, this is just a request from a student that pays tuition just like everyone else.
CHILL OUT WITH THAT CRAP!
I’m just asking “why do you close the lobbies before the parties are even over?”
Are we that much of a threat to this campus? I mean, do I come after the parties with guns and demand pens from the desk workers?
Be real, during the early part of the week when other people are having these same parties, it’s cool when they come in the lobby loud, drunk and obnoxious.
In all honesty, I am sick of the way Safety and Security handle our parties. I mean, when other people throw parties, I don’t recollect RA’s asking us to leave the lobby.
A word to the wise - treat people the way you would like to be treated because karma comes back strong.
Before I let you marinate, there’s one more thing I would like to address. To all the wanna be thugs on this campus - it’s time out for all the crap going on. Be real with yourself. How are you going to be a thug in college?
That’s like trying to be hard in church. It just don’t work. There are people that would die to be in the position that you’re in. Come on brothers and sisters - use what GOD gave you…a brain. It’s time out for all that fighting crap. You’re in college, be real. You’re at a higher level of education.
If you call yourself a man act like one not necessarily backing down but just think twice before you act. If you hit this man and you get kicked out of college, for what?
Now you have lost the money for the semester and if you lose, you got beat down and lost your money.
Damn, you a two time loser! THINK…THINK…then react because you can’t beat up everyone.
It’s already a hard road, why not try to help your brother instead of hurting him?
NOW MARINATE ON THAT!!!
