People have the right to protest, stand up for what they believe in

Some people are for the war, some are against, and many are still riding the fence, but now that our nation has moved forward, many might ask “What do we do now?” Our country has embarked on a serious matter that will not be successful without the support of its citizens. As an American, it is our duty to support our troops who have offered their lives to protect our freedom with prayer and other means and stand behind our leaders remembering we voted them to that position. Everyone has the right to protest, it is America. Without the ability to have your voice heard, whether it is pro-war or anti-war, we would no longer be a democracy. Being an American citizen gives us the right to stand up for what we believe in, but the war has begun and we as citizens must accept this and support our nation, our leaders and our troops. We are citizens of this country and we must not turn our back on the flag, the flag that stands for our freedom. So as a citizen of the United States and a student of UTM, I am asking that whether you are for or against the war, unite as one and support the efforts that have begun and will continue to proceed for the next few months.
