Opinions Editor can't take criticism

Um, excuse me Ms. High and Mighty Opinions Editor.

Last week I sent an article to the Pacer with a legitimate criticism of your horrible editing; however, rather than printing the article, you write another sloppy article criticizing people for hiding behind pen names and fake E-mail addresses when the plain truth is that I, for one, sent my article with my full and correct name and my correct e-mail address.

Yet, you were afraid to print it. If you’re not going to print the articles that I, and presumably other students, submit to the paper, STOP ASKING FOR THEM.

Even if you are getting a flood of articles under false names, the least you could do is print the ones sent from those of us who aren’t afraid to use our real names and have submitted articles to the Pacer several times in the past.

I mean really, how hard would it have been for you to send me an e-mail to at least ask if I was really the author of the letter? Hell, I would have hand delivered it if need be.

Just admit that you can’t take criticism, or at least stop hiding behind your power to censor the opinions page, thereby blocking any student from pointing out faults in either your writing in particular or the Pacer in general.
