Don’t get mad if you don’t get first choice in Commuter parking

For those who don’t know - commuter parking lots are for all commuters. Not just one person.

I’m tired of people getting mad because someone took a parking spot.

We’ve all had times when someone cut in front to get a spot or someone saw a spot before you, but that is not an excuse for circling people’s cars, honking at them or writing down their license plate numbers.

Grow up! We are college students, people who are supposed to be mature. Let’s not resort to this childish behavior because all it does is make us look stupid.

I’ve had experiences in the commuter lots with people cutting me off or I’ve cut someone off. Many times, the person pulling into the spot doesn’t not realize that they have taken the spot of someone waiting.

Why waste time to make a huge fuss over it when you can wait probably five minutes at the most to find another spot. If such occurrences make you late for class, learn your lesson and leave a few minutes earlier to find a parking spot.

Remember, you are not the only person looking for a parking spot, so don’t think the first spot that opens up should automatically be yours.

Things aren’t always going to go your way, so move on and find another spot.
