Let us appreciate what we have

As I walk to class in the Humanities Building, on every floor there is a sign that has a quote or a poem that is telling people that going to war is wrong and that President Bush is just trying to live up his daddy’s reputation.

Well, has it ever crossed your mind that every freedom that we enjoy today we have because someone fought for it?

How soon we forget that the things that we take for granted like our freedom and our liberties came to us at the cost of someone’s life. As many of our countrymen and their families are preparing themselves for what is to come, I doubt that they have in their minds that President Bush is just doing this for publicity and infamy.

If our military men and women are willing to lay down their lives for their country, don’t you think that the least that we can do is to support them?

Yes, war is the last step that anyone wants to take, but if it is necessary then it will happen.

Before stating opinions about the lives of many our men and women who are fighting for this country, sit down and think about the reasons they are doing what they are doing.

Respect thier honor, pray they come home safely, and be thankful that you weren’t the one who was called to action.
