Homecoming cookoff, fireworks show set for Monday night


On Monday, Oct. 4, SGA and SAC will sponsor the annual Homecoming cookoff and fireworks show at Pacer Pond.

The cookoff will start promptly at 6 p.m. in the parking lot by Pacer Pond. Each team is responsible for bringing its own grill, but the meat will be provided. The application fee is $25 and the top winner of each division will win a $250 prize. The judging will begin at 7 p.m.

The SGA will be cooking hot dogs for anyone else who wants to come but who is not involved in another organization.

Candidates for Homecoming Queen 2004 will be announced following the judging of the cookoff and the bonfire will be lighted around this time. After the introductions of the candidates, the Skyhawk football starters and coaches will be introduced to the crowd.

The fireworks show will begin about 8:15 p.m.
