**** of 5

If you love the VeggieTales movies, then you’re going to love the compilation of songs produced by Big Idea productions, Silly Songs with Larry.

If you are unfamiliar with the VeggieTales videos, Larry the Cucumber (one of the main characters of VeggieTales), always has a segment to sing silly songs in the video.

The cd is a collection of many of the silly songs that Larry the Cucumber sings in the VeggieTales videos.

The cd includes well-known hits to VeggieTales fans such as The Hairbrush Song, Do the Moo Shoo, The Water Buffalo Song and many, many more!

The collection of songs are extremely silly and very ear-catching.

In The Hairbrush Song, Larry asks where his beloved hairbrush is. The “silly” aspect of the song is not the singing about where his hairbrush is, but the fact that Larry has no hair for a hairbrush.

Each of the songs has an actual message for children. In the case of The Hairbrush Song, the message is about sharing with others.

The song ends with Larry the Cucumber giving his beloved hairbrush to the Peach.

In The Water Buffalo Song, the song tells children not to lie.

The lyrics of the song are “Everybody’s got a water buffalo... Stop it! Stop it this instant! What do you think you’re doing? You can’t say everyone’s got a water buffalo when everyone does not have a water buffalo!”

In Do the Moo Shoo, I’m not really sure if there is a specific message, but it is very interesting to listen to.

The ending of the song has a message, but as with the theme of the cd, it is rather quite silly. “Beware of grape with wooden mallet,” says Larry the Cucumber.

Although this cd is intended for children, many college students know the familiar songs of Larry the Cucumber.

The lyrics and music are ear-catching. Although, many may think the songs are corny, Silly Songs with Larry spreads good messages with fun and silly songs.

This cd is also a good thing to own when dealing with children. It should keep them entertained for a few hours.
