For many years the campus of UTM is usually bumping this time of year because of one main event -- the Dorm Step Show. The Step Show would normally showcase the talents of Panhellenic champion Zeta Tau Alpha and many other step teams that include themselves as part of a dorm team.

There are two main reasons for the no-show. First, there was a lack of participation. Second, the Dorm Step Teams that would have entered did not have a place to practice. Generally, practice occurred in the basement, but this year they would not be allowed to.

Zeta Phi Beta member Jericka Payne stated that most of the team members weren’t allowed to practice in the basements, therefore they did not want to participate in the Step Show.

The Ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. will be hosting a non-Greek line dance competition on Friday, Apr. 16, during their week-long celebration.
