If you put your mind to it, you can do just about anything. That’s what Leonardo Dicaprio proves in his latest blockbuster Catch Me If You Can.

He stars as Frank W. Abagnale Jr. and Tom Hanks stars as FBI Agent Carl Hanratty in the ultimate cat and mouse game to ever be shown on the silver screen.

This movie, based on the true story of con-artist extraordinaire Frank W. Abagnale, is set during the 1960s, when people were more naïve than people are now.

Throughout the movie, Dicaprio poses as a pilot for Pan-Am, a doctor, CIA agent and a Louisiana lawyer, all before he left his teen years.

Hanks portrays FBI agent Hanratty who is hot on the trail of Abagnale. He spends much of the movie trying to figure out who is cashing millions of dollars worth of forged checks before realizing it is someone he has already encountered.

Dicaprio meets a young girl working in a hospital as a candy striper. He gets her to believe he is a doctor and they have a passionate love affair and become engaged.

She takes him to meet her parents in Louisiana, where he tells her father, a lawyer, that he studied law before deciding to study in medicine and proceeds to pass the Louisiana bar exam after just two weeks of studying.

His charades do not end there. This movie is full of intertwining plots and unique twists and turns.

Directed and produced by Steven Spielberg, one cannot help but to expect the best from this award-winning director. It is easy to get drawn into this movie.

The movie ends with a shocker with Abagnale getting the opportunity of a lifetime to put his knowledge to good use.

The only bad part to this seemingly perfect movie was Hanks’ accent as Hanratty. No one on the planet has that kind of accent. It is the only thing that needs to be changed throughout the entire movie.

Catch Me If You Can premiered in theaters Christmas Day and can be seen in theaters all over America.

If you loved Dicaprio in Titanic, you will enjoy him in this blockbuster. On the other hand, if you hated him in Titanic, you will be in for a shock during this movie because you will lose yourself in his portrayal of Abagnale.
