Nicole Davis, a sophomore pitcher/infielder for the UTM softball team, was named the Ohio Valley Conference Softball Player of the Week.

Davis, proved to be the deciding factor in the Skyhawks' series with Tennessee State.

Davis had six hits in seven at bats in the three-game series. In game two, she had a triple and a double with two RBI, scoring one run in the 5-0 victory.

She also pitched all seven innings in the victory. She gave up two hits, striking out five batters and giving up three walks. She went two-for-two in game three of the series. She had one run and one RBI.

Davis is batting .283 on the season with three triples and 12 RBIs.

She also has a team leading .190 ERA with 26 strikeeouts. The Player of the Week honor is determined by the Ohio Valley Conference officials.
