Counselor offers advice on how to face graduation

Graduation is right around the corner and many seniors are preparing to face the real world.

“Seniors often have mixed feelings about graduation. They are excited to be moving on to the next phase of their life, but a little scared about the uncertainty of the future. The time leading up to graduation can be very stressful,” Dr. Jennifer Levy of Counseling and Career Services says.

Levy has composed a list of top 10 tips for all who plan to walk the line on May 14th. “Taking these tips and applying them to your life can be your first step toward success,” Levy says.

Jonathan McAdams, a senior Marketing major from Greenfield, says, “Graduation brings many responsibilities along with it. Not only are you searching for your first “real” job, for many getting up before 10 a.m. can be a tiring feat.”

“The stresses that go along with being a senior can be more than enough to handle at the times, not to mention that you can’t stop thinking about where your life is headed at the end of the semester. It always helps to remember that the closing of one door always reveals the opening of a new one,” says senior Communications major Neena Shetsky of Milan, TN.
