Chattanooga SGA president sends letter of support

Dear Editor:

During this time of the year each college campus in the University of Tennessee System participates in the annual Student Government Association elections.

I, James Armour, the SGA president at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, am writing this letter to the editor to formally endorse Dusty Dean for the position of SGA president at UTM. I met Dusty Dean during a University of Tennessee Board of trustees meeting in Knoxville. After meeting Dusty, I saw a number of great qualities that I think a person should possess.

The first of these is caring. From conversations that have taken place between Dusty and I, he really displayed a true love and compassion for your university. The next quality I saw is dedication. In working with all of the other SGA representatives from each campus, I feel as though Dusty exemplified the word dedication. He attended every meeting we had, asked great questions and gave very informative answers to the questions that was asked of him.

The final attribute that a person should have is a straight eye. That is exactly what Dusty has. He is able to look past your race, size, and gender to see the real person.

I pose a question to you, the student body. Do you want someone like this to represent your student body? I know I would. Feel free to contact me at 423-425-8620 if you have any further questions.

Sincerely, James Armour 2003 2004 SGA President (UTC)
