Bullock leaves acting in 'Two Weeks Notice'

****1/2 of 5

Two Weeks Notice is a witty romantic comedy about a work place romance that is non-existent until it is almost too late.

Sandra Bullock stars as an eccentric attorney who finds herself working for a womanizing business tycoon (Hugh Grant), who shares very different beliefs than her.

It is only after she gives him her two weeks notice that they begin to realize that there may be more to their relationship than just business.

Once again, “Sandy” pulls off a brilliant performance in this role as a strong-willed woman with a heart of gold and compulsive eating habits who makes an unexpected career decision for the sake of a beloved community center.

Hugh Grant plays a businessman who has everything he could possibly want in the palm of his hand and doesn’t even bother to deny it.

What he doesn’t expect is to actually care about his strange new attorney. Together they epitomize the “men are from Mars, women are from Venus” theory.

The world has been begging for a match up of these two enchanting actors and has finally received its wish. The chemistry between them is dynamic and is everything that was expected from the duo.

Sandra Bullock claims that this will be her last acting performance and that she would like to concentrate more on producing.

After her past few performances, including this one, I can honestly say that this breaks my heart.

She has affectionately been labeled as the “girl next door” and has certainly earned that distinction with her charming beauty, her sense of humor and her laid back humility.

Hugh has managed to capture the hearts of women around the world with his boyish good looks and his charming personality.
He is one of the top picks for the leading male roles in the romantic comedy genre. We certainly haven’t seen the last of him.

While I admit that there are a couple of cheesy moments in this movie, the delightful duo, along with a great supporting cast, manages to create a sweet yet comical story of the almost overlooked friendship and love between to very different people.
