Brian Brown Greenway deemed eligible for Federal funding

The Brian Brown Memorial Greenway has recently been judged eligible for federal grant money by the Tennessee Department of Transportation. The Greenway gained non-profit status under 501(C)3 a month ago.

“If you've been waiting to donate now is the time because any donation is tax-deductible,” said Tim Johnston, President of the Greenway.

The Greenway needs your help to secure the grant that will cover the first phase of the project. Support your future Greenway by calling Nancy Strawn at (731)-423-5760 in the Governor's office in Jackson by October 4, and tell her you support the project.

She will forward the comments to the governor’s office in Nashville. The Greenway project must have the Governor’s approval of the TDOT recommendation to be funded.

The Greenway committee encourages you to call, e-mail and send letters to the governor’s office. Johnston said, “The more input the governor has the better for Martin’s chances of securing the grant.” He said, “We are on the verge of a big success!”
