Allen brings jolly comedy to holiday season with ‘Santa Clause’ sequel

***1/2 of 5

Do you believe in Santa Claus? That seems to be question every little kid asks at some point in their childhood life. The whole point of Christmas is to believe.

Yes, I believe in Santa Claus because where did the milk and cookies go on Christmas Eve night while everyone was sleeping, I didn’t eat them and mommy and daddy were sleeping because I was up waiting for Santa to come.

I know parents always tell their children to believe in Santa and then later in life there is this little kid who tells them different. Santa Clause 2 can be that little bright light to let the children believe again. This movie was really a heart filling movie. It all starts off when Santa finds out that his little boy, Charlie, is on the naughty list for Christmas.

After finding out bad news about his son, he then receives the news that he has to find a Mrs. Clause before Christmas Eve in order to continue the role as Santa. What a gift from the elves, huh!

Then they begin to wonder how they can keep things going without Santa there to run things. There is no way, they think. Until the number two elf devises this plan that he is sure to work.

He had been working on it for a while, it’s a special machine where he can duplicate, enlarge, and shrink anything they put through it.

So guess what, they put Santa through to make a duplicate they hope will run Santa’s village while Santa is out finding a wife. Everything turns out the way they plan.

There goes Santa on his little Reindeer, comet, and flying back home to take care of a few little chores to be done before Christmas Eve. Now Santa is no longer Santa he’s Charlie’s father, Scott Calvin.

While there Scott takes care of Charlie and tries to get him back to being the good little boy he used to be.

While trying to help his, son he’s looking for that special someone. He goes on a date and doesn’t seem to bond with this woman.

The next day Scott makes an appearance at Ms. Newman’s home and asks her to dinner. They end up going to a party.

Everyone has fun including Ms. Newman who is always ill. The night ends and everything has gone well.

Scott returns home and then someone lands in his front yard. Who could it be? Well you have to watch to see that part.

Santa is on his way back to the North Pole to fix all the mistakes that someone has made. Everything doesn’t seem to go as planned, until a couple of people show up and helps Santa and the elves.

But to make a laugh Santa rides off on the new reindeer to catch the plastic Santa, just to inform you the reindeer had only flown once and not for very long. Santa flies off and finally saves world from a bad Christmas.

Never say you don’t believe in Christmas, you always have presents under the tree don’t you. Also remember you have to have the Christmas spirit before you can believe. Santa Clause 2 brought a lot of joy to my night after watching.
