A witch’s revenge in ‘I’ve Been Waiting for You’

** of 5

A story about a legend of a witch to return 300 years after she was burnt at the stake, I’ve Been Waiting for You, is a classic thriller based on the novel I Know What You Did Last Summer by Lois Duncan.

Sarah (Sarah Chalke) and her mother move to a small town where a local legend is about to unfold.

The legend of the small town is rumored that 300 years to the day that Sarah was burnt at the stake for being a witch, she would return to kill the five descendants of those who took her from her home. Her home is the same one that Sarah and her mom just moved into.

After a student is found dead, Sarah is accused of causing the girl’s death. The entire town begins to believe the legend is starting to come true.

With no one to believe her, Sarah must figure out what is happening and what is killing and scaring all of the descendants.

The movie is a good teen flick, but the whole plot is very corny. About half way through the movie, you feel like turning it off. If you like movies with a lot of cheesy acting and a bad plot, then this is the movie for you.

After watching the movie, it’s simple to see that the movie was based on I Know What You Did Last Summer.

I’ve Been Waiting for You is on video, but it started out as a made-for-television movie by NBC. Looks like maybe it should’ve stayed on television, rather than become an actual video that you can rent.
